Restraint is an addictive pleasure a spellbinding continuation of Eve’s journey of self-discovery, love and sacrifice.
Readers captivated by Revelation will eagerly devour Restraint.
Restraint is volume two in The Revelation Series.
Asher and his clan are charged with protecting Eve from a battle brewing between good and evil.  They teach her practical defensive skills as she spiritually ascends to her new role in this realm.  Along the way, she encounters other fantastical creatures: fae, goblins, selkies and more.  I really liked the different realms in this story: the Fae Kingdom, the Eternal Forest, The Temple of the Seven High Priestesses, the Angelic Council. And when in the Earth realm, Eve and Co. are spending the winter in London, England.  There are so many awesome settings as the plot unfolds.
In my review of Revelation, I praised the author for her storytelling – and this installment is every bit as good.  It’s one thing for love between a human and her guardian to be against the rules, but quite another when Eve learns her romance with Asher could have extremely grave consequences.  I enjoyed the romantic tension: they become aware of the danger they face for breaking a sacred oath while their protector bond deepens throughout the story.  The stolen moments are bittersweet because there is so much at risk.  But you want them to risk it all and fight for each other, especially when their connections go beyond mutual attraction.
Other clans gather to support Asher and his fellow Guardians.  While fighting a common enemy, however, it seems as if not everyone is eager to protect Eve at all costs.  Friendships and loyalties are tested, and incredible sacrifices are made in the name of love.
This is an entertaining, gripping, unpredictable  story for fans of fantasy and paranormal romance.
I’m brushing my teeth when Asher swaggers into the bathroom. He leans his hip against the counter and just watches me. It’s starting to freak me out. I squint at him before spitting.

“Can I help you?”

“Huh?” he asks.

“You’re staring.” I tip my toothbrush at him.

“Am I?” He tilts his head to the side and crosses his arms.

I spit one last time and start my flossing routine and gargle my mouth rinse, all while Asher just stands there, observing me. Seriously, what’s he doing?

“Curious about dental care?”

“Curious about you,” he shoots back.

He shrugs. “I like watching you do normal, everyday things.”

I blink. “Did you get clocked in training today?”

“No.” He slides his hands into the pockets of his pajama bottoms. “Want to have a sleep over?”

“Sleepover?” I repeat, less than enthused.

“Pajamas, pillow fights, gossip. You know, sleepover,” he clarifies, like I’m an idiot.

I sigh. “You’re freaking me out. What the hell is going on?”

He reaches for me and grabs the hem of my tank top, pulling me towards him. I stumble a bit and have to place my hands on his shoulders for balance as he tugs me closer. “I want you in my bed tonight. I was hoping you’d fall asleep in my arms.” His eyes lock onto mine.
