The Hidden LibraryHere is a link to my Review of Book One: The Collectors’ Society.  In a nutshell: everything about it is awesome.  Imagine my delight when the author shared my thoughts on Facebook: Heather Lyons has done a tremendous job of weaving classic literature, epic fantasy and contemporary romance.  It is incredibly entertaining and a very impressive feat.

Book Two: The Hidden Library picks up where Book One left off – Alice & Co. are in pursuit of a villain determined to erase literary classics from the world.  As in the first book, Alice is up for the challenge and confirms she is the right person for the job.  She and Finn make a great team, and you will root for their relationship (and safety…. and sanity… and survival) as they experience dangerous foes on their adventure.  Alice’s friends from The Collectors’ Society and Wonderland are also facing uncertain times – and I refuse to spoil this fantastic book for you.  If you enjoy Book One, you will find Book Two equally awesome.  If I’m being honest, I didn’t think that would be possible.

I love everything about Alice acclimating to  modern day New York City and her most recent adventure in Wonderland. Both settings abound with magical characters, places and experiences, and yet everything about this modern fairy tale rings true.  Kudos to the author for another job very well done.  The Hidden Library is entertaining, exciting, inspiring and deserving of all the accolades.  Lyon’s version of Alice is my favorite character to come along in a long while – her intelligence, bravery, vulnerability and sacrifices make for a exceptionally poignant heroine. The series is unlike anything you have ever read, and you will join fellow fans in awe of the creativity, talent and guts it took for the author to beautifully craft this remarkable story.
